"Are botanical vapes safe?" is one of the most common questions we get, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a slogan. The honest version is this: we can tell you exactly what is in a Cozi Cloud, what isn't, and how that compares to a nicotine product. We can't make health claims, and you should be skeptical of any brand that does.
What "botanical" means on the label
A botanical vape or herbal vape is a disposable device whose aroma comes from plant-derived extracts instead of tobacco or nicotine. In a Cozi Cloud, the liquid is a base of food-grade vegetable glycerin carrying a short list of extracts chosen for their scent. Our Energy blend, for example, is ginseng, sweet orange peel and peppermint. Sleep Support is chrysanthemum, chamomile and orange blossom. Every blend's full list is on its product page.
These are the same kinds of extracts used in aromatherapy, teas and flavorings. What they are not is a source of nicotine. There is no nicotine of any kind in the device, which is the single biggest difference between a nicotine free disposable and the products it's usually compared against.
How it compares to a nicotine product
A conventional disposable vape typically contains nicotine (often as nicotine salt), propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin and flavorings. Nicotine is an addictive stimulant, and that dependency is the reason most people look for a way out of the category in the first place.
- Nicotine: present in a standard vape, 0% in a botanical diffuser.
- Tobacco-derived ingredients: present in many nicotine products, 0% in Cozi Cloud.
- Vitamin E acetate and diacetyl: two additives that drew scrutiny in past years. Cozi Cloud contains neither.
- Aroma source: synthetic flavor concentrates versus plant extracts.
What we can and can't say
Cozi Cloud is an aroma product, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and we don't market it as a smoking-cessation tool. Inhaling anything other than air is a personal decision, and if you're pregnant, nursing, or managing a respiratory condition, that decision belongs in a conversation with your doctor.
What we can say is how the product is made. Our blends are produced in facilities that follow strict quality controls, every batch is tested before it ships, and the ingredient list you see on the site is the ingredient list in the device. The product is intended for adults 21 and over only.
Questions to ask any herbal vape brand
- Is the nicotine content stated as 0%, in writing, on the product?
- Is the full ingredient list published, blend by blend?
- Does it exclude vitamin E acetate and diacetyl?
- Does the brand avoid medical or wellness claims it can't back up?
- Is it clearly sold to adults 21+ with an age check?
If a brand answers all five clearly, you're looking at a transparent nicotine free disposable. If it dodges any of them, keep looking. Cozi Cloud was built to pass that list, and you can check every answer yourself on our blends page.
